Further to our recent updates with business changes due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we are still reviewing and adapting our business on a daily basis to keep up with the changing environment, ensuring we continue to deliver an uncompromised service to you.
High Court Enforcement Agents (HCEA)
One of the High Court Enforcement Agents that we use have contacted us this week to let us know that they have put together a package whereby once the High Court Writ is issued, it will then undertake a pre-attendance office based collections attempt, they have devised specific “soft” letters and calls in an attempt to make contact with the customers. As you know the HCEA’s cannot actually attend at premises at the moment.
The advantage of this is that it will hopefully produce some payment arrangements and will ensure that the Writs are already issued prior to lock down being lifted. (The Writ is valid for a full year)When it does revert to business as usual, we anticipate an uplift of instructions across the industry which could cause a considerable backlog at the courts. This way we can stop any potential lengthy delays.
If you have any cases whereby we already have judgment, please instruct us online via Debt Manager if you wish to proceed with HCEA action based on the above process.
Contact
We will endeavour to keep you updated with any significant changes. Please do not hesitate to contact client services with any concerns or questions.
When emailing the office, please use the team email addresses rather than (or as well as) individual ones, just to ensure that your email gets dealt with swiftly if the member of staff you are emailing is not available.
