The Ministry of Justice have recently published its response to a consultation on plans to increase selected Court and tribunal fees to reflect inflation. If approved, these fees will increase from 1st April 2025 and we have listed some of the main changes below for you.
- Sealing a writ of control/possession/delivery (High Court) from £78 to £80
- Order to attend court from £65 to £67
- Application for a charging order from £131 to £135
- Application for third party debt order from £131 to £135
- Issue warrant of control (Bailiff) from £91 to £94
- Application for an attachment of earnings order from £131 to £135
- General application (by consent/without notice) from £119 to £123
- General application (on notice) from £303 to £313
- Consent order fee from £119 to £ 123
- Bankruptcy Petition / Winding Up Petition from £332 to £343
- Return of goods claims from £365 to £377

Your fee scale will be updated with the new Court fees in due course. Please note that, importantly, the majority of the above Court fees will be passed to the Defendant for payment throughout the course of the Court proceedings.
